The Selective adjustments tool uses zones to alter different areas, which is particularly useful for making adjustments to light and shade separately and with precision. The tool uses control points to specify these zones. With this method it’s possible to tap on an area in a photo to select a zone for localized adjustment based on parameters such as the pixel color or tonal range (light and shadow), among others.
